Hillside garden

A new garden inspired by an original photograph of the cottage, taken at the turn of the 20th century.

I have just completed a set of renders for the garden design at Hillside. The small south-west facing garden runs at a gentle slope to a triangulated corner where an existing mountain ash sits.

The garden layout and planting takes inspiration from an original photograph of the cottage. A dusty road, lined with wild grasses and Cotswold stone walls is punctuated by several small trees.  The gentle curve of the road inspires the central pathway leading from the new terrace down into the garden.

Planting is meant to reflect the typical wild foliage and plants found in the Cotswolds.

Model was built in SketchUp and rendered in Enscape for Mac.
