Adel Rootstein started making mannequins in the late 1950s. They became an iconic symbol of British retail, featuring famous personalities from fashion and popular culture. Some of the more famous personalities include Twiggy, Pat Cleveland, Joan Collins and Erin O’Connor.

The commission called for a bespoke website which I created in Webflow. Extensive copy and media management was required to build up the history and branding for the website. As well as designing the entire UI/UX and implementing the site on Webflow, I wrote most fo the copy for the archive. This required research into the brand as well as interviewing former Rootstein employees and designers.

The website features unique side navigation and a series of interface animations that bring the subject matter to life.
